SAI SANGONE, PGDIP

ADDICTION COUNSELOR

Sai Sangone is a counselor grounded in evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Positive Psychology. He has provided therapeutic support to individuals and groups across Southeast Asia, with a focus on emotional regulation, addiction recovery, and resilience building.

Sai earned his undergraduate education through the California State University, Fullerton, and the University at Buffalo, Singapore. He completed extensive postgraduate training at The School of Positive Psychology in Singapore, where he received Postgraduate Diplomas in CBT, Positive Psychology, SFBT, and Clinical Hypnotherapy. His professional experience includes work with Counseling Corner in Yangon, where he supported clients and contributed to organizational development, as well as international rehabilitation settings in Thailand. Sai's commitment to community is extensive: he was a co-founding member of the charity Youth of Yangon, supporting their youth-led educational initiatives, volunteered to offer free counseling to individuals affected by social unrest in Myanmar, and served at the Mary Chapman Home for the Deaf and Blind.
